pharmacy cold chain · audit as a report, not an event.

The sensor is the cheapest cost of not losing a new branch opening, not losing the Responsable Sanitario's license, not losing the chain's biologics. Continuous monitoring of vaccine refrigerators, medication freezers, general storage, and backup energy.

what's at stake

>./zonas·I · four critical zones · continuous monitoring every 5 min

four zones · continuous monitoring.

Each zone of your branch has different risks. One platform covers all four. Your team operates everything from the web dashboard, the iOS and Android mobile app, or WhatsApp — whichever fits the role.

01

vaccine refrigerator

Dual measurement: ambient temperature sensor + product-representative temperature sensor (in glycol). Door-open sensor. Current meter on compressor. Leak sensor under the equipment.

02

medication freezer

At -20 °C: product temperature sensor + door-open sensor + current meter on compressor. Defrost/refreeze detection — unrecoverable for insulins and biologics.

03

general storage

Temperature + humidity sensor for NOM-072 compliance (>25 °C / >65 % RH are critical). In coastal zones (Veracruz, Cancún, Mérida), automatic dehumidifier activation.

04

energy + backup

Compressor baseline with current meter. Gateway with thirty-two-hour backup — the sensor network keeps reporting through a general area blackout.

Out of scope: POS · security cameras · inventory systems. AstreaIoT doesn't replace them; if your ERP needs the cold-chain data, we integrate it via Custom Integration.

>./valor·II · the sensor is the cheapest investment · against four concrete losses

what we protect · what we avoid.

what we protect
  • +More than two hundred thousand pesos saved per vaccine-refrigerator failure · the sensor costs a small fraction of the product it protects
  • +NOM-059 PDF report in two clicks · 30 continuous days every 5 min for COFEPRIS audit
  • +Gradual compressor degradation detected · 4-6 weeks before failure
  • +Real-time informed decision during nighttime power outage: transfer product or wait
  • +Automatic NOM-072 compliance in coastal zones (Veracruz · Cancún · Mérida)
what we avoid
  • Hundreds of thousands of pesos in biologics destroyed by one hour out of range
  • COFEPRIS fines + license suspension + sanction to the Responsable Sanitario's license card
  • Emergency compressor repair · several times the cost of preventive maintenance
  • Possible criminal investigation for nighttime-gap logbook
  • Test strips and powders lost to sustained coastal humidity

NOM-072-SSA1-2012
what it requires
Medication storage: T° + RH per product label.
how we deliver
Temperature + humidity sensor in each storage zone. Continuous compliance.
NOM-059-SSA1-2015
what it requires
Good Manufacturing Practices: continuous cold-chain records with timestamp and signature.
how we deliver
Immutable log every 5 minutes. PDF report in two clicks.
NOM-164-SSA1-2015
what it requires
Good Manufacturing Practices — calibration and validation.
how we deliver
Probes calibrated at an accredited lab with per-equipment vigency tracked.

If your branch is in a coastal zone, we automatically add dehumidifier activation when %RH crosses the NOM-072 threshold.

>./faq·VI · common questions before the quote

common questions · before the quote.

what happens if the branch's internet goes down?

The gateway has 32-hour backup and a local buffer. Sensors keep recording · everything syncs on reconnect. If the outage is prolonged, the cellular backup takes over automatically.

can it connect to old refrigerators?

Yes. The sensors are external and mount on any equipment · no need to replace the refrigerator. The glycol probe slides through the door seal without modification.

how long does a NOM-059 report take to assemble?

Two clicks. The system assembles it automatically with the selected 30 days, Responsable Sanitario's signature included. Print-ready or send-ready PDF in under a minute.

do I need my own internet connection?

Not required. The gateway uses the branch's WiFi when available (preferred for speed) · or the included cellular modem as backup. Works in branches without their own internet.

how are the sensors calibrated and how often?

At an accredited lab before deployment. Per-equipment vigency tracked in the dashboard. Recalibration every 12 months to meet NOM-164 · we run the calendar.

what happens if a branch closes or relocates?

We recover the equipment · no penalty, no de-installation fee. Sensors are designed to move · they can redeploy at the next branch with low friction.

does it integrate with the chain's ERP?

Yes · via Custom Integration. We connect to SAP, Microsip, Oracle, NetSuite, or a custom system. Operational costs and critical alerts arrive directly to your central system.

>./roi·VII · why this is good business

per branch · per year.

~ $250K MXN
approximate · in protected value · per branch · per year

Between biologics protected, fines avoided, preventive maintenance, and automated NOM-072 compliance: approximately two hundred fifty thousand pesos per branch per year in protected value.

For a chain with hundreds or thousands of branches, the rollout standardizes compliance and eliminates systemic risk: a COFEPRIS observation that suspends branch #847 for 30 days is not a surprise — it is something the national dashboard caught before the audit.

The decision is not whether to invest. It is what it costs not to, when the observation arrives.
